Potato Growers of Idaho Recognizes Rep. Frances Field for Exemplary Service

BLACKFOOT, ID — The Potato Growers of Idaho (PGI) recently recognized Rep. Frances C. Field for her 22 years of service in the Idaho State Legislature as a strong advocate for Idaho agriculture and the potato industry. The award was presented to Field at the Annual Potato Grower Summer Meeting in Pocatello.
Growers all across the state express great appreciation to Rep. Frances Field,
said Keith Esplin, PGI executive director. We value her exemplary leadership and willingness to stand up for the state’s agricultural industries.
Idaho is constantly changing, and as the state becomes more urban, more dedicated leaders like Rep. Field are needed to educate people of the importance agriculture has on the welfare of our state and nation,
added Esplin.
Field, who is retiring at the end of November, currently chairs the House Agricultural Affairs Committee.

In the more than 40 years since its organization,PGI's mission has evolved to include representation of growers in governmental, legislative and industry organizations.
